*THE $500,000 POKÉMON CARD!* The rarest cards in the world
A copy of the master cardsold in August 2020 for over $25,000. Unlike most cards sold at auction, this one was not graded by the PSA, but rather by Beckett. Whether a still-sealed copy in the original trophy box would be worth more remains to be seen, but given the value of the card, it's perhaps a little surprising that the seller decided to open it.
The master key was originally given out to competitors at the 2010 Pokémon World Championships. The event took place in Hawaii and was contested by only 36 players. This makes the card incredibly rare, withneon light GEM-MT 10 Exemplary- there is the highest score that the PSA can assign.
Holo-Goldstern-Rayquaza
This exquisite Rayquaza is a rare Pokémon card that comes from the Ex Deoxys set. This Pokémon card featuring the gold star makes it extremely powerful in your deck.
Its subtle colors and artwork make it classic and standard, and as a result, its price tends to fluctuate wildly. For example, Troll and Toad costs exactly $4,500, which could also be more or less.
Their rarity and excellent level make them invaluable among the original Gen 3 cards. Best of all, it's one of the first brilliant cards to reach a record price.
Blastoise sin sombras by St Edition
It may not be as popular as Charizard, but Blastoise handily beats Venasaur and Chansey for second place when it comes to valuable basic cards. A mint-condition copy of the map sold last November for just over $45,000, again foran eBay auction by PWCC.
That isone of 100 copies of the mapPSA gave it a GEM-MT 10 rating, making it one of the most common mint condition holographic base cards. However, as in the case of Charizard, the relatively high population doesn't seem to have affected their value as much, probably because so many of them are already in the hands of collectors.

The Dark Magician Girl was first released on the TCG as part of the North American Magicians Force set in October 2003, a 108-card set focused on helping magicians. The rest of the TCG world had to wait until October 2005 to try to bring out the rare Dark Magician Girl, where Magicians Force was one of the boosters in the Master Collection Volume 2 compilation set.
The Dark Magician Girl is also notable for the censorship it faced when it moved to western Japan, with many content changes in both the TCG and anime. Pokémon Neo Revelation 1st Edition Holo Houndoom #8
Neo Revelation is a 66-card expansion released in 2001.
We mentioned that Shadow Pokemon were overpowered at the time, but they were also unique enough to stand out from the crowd compared to the normal types seen before.
Houndoom is one such example, with the map draped in a striking black background.
You'll be able to see the progression in terms of art compared to the 1999 base as Houndoom howls at the moon in the image. Instead of a full holographic background, only the stars twinkle in the light.
Another pricey option, limited to just 28 copies of PSA 10. That's low enough to mix it up with the rarer original Pokemon cards.
